Major Projects Planning Process
The Major Projects Planning Process is intended to serve as a systematic and transparent approach to review major projects on an individual basis within the context of the University's Integrated Plan, Strategic Directions, and College/Unit Academic and Strategic Plans. In addition to the above-noted criteria, the Planning Process will also recognize additional mitigating factors such as internal and external funding opportunities, life safety, and code and regulatory issues.
There are four stages to the Major Project Planning Process. The first three stages are managed by the Integrated Planning Office and stage four is managed by Facilities Management.
All major projects in excess of $500,000 will adhere to this process including capital building projects, major computer software acquisitions, major equipment purchases, infrastructure projects, and all major acquisitions that have a value greater than $500,000.

Current Major Projects
The flurry of construction activity continues on our vibrant campus. Whether we are injecting new life into old buildings, giving birth to state-of-the-art facilities where research and learning will flourish, or simply making our workplaces safer and more efficient, we continually strive to improve this place were we work and learn.
Capital and operating resources for all projects are carefully considered through the various stages of planning and development. The continuing physical development and maintenance of the campus will reflect the strategic priorities of the University and convey a sense of pride of place. We’re building futures.
