Human Relations
Led by Director, Sherry Peters, the Human Relations Unit’s main objectives is to align the organization (people, leadership, culture, systems, practices, processes and structure) to support business objectives.
Communications ensures the campus community and FMD understand the strategic directions (visions) and stewardship roles of FMD and how they support the University’s Integrated Plan. We are the hub of all internal and external communications for Facilities Management, from Major Project updates, Campus and FMD announcements, publications and videos. We are committed to providing professional communication services.
Customer relations is integrally related to communication initiatives in that it helps us identify gaps, build understanding and create partnerships that better meet the needs of FMD and the University in a manner that fosters team work, collegiality and trust.
Human resources, communications and customer relations strategies are owned by senior management and line managers collectively. The Human Relations Unit supports the development, project management and implementation of these interrelated strategies to support the attainment of FMD’s goals and objectives.
