Under the direction of Julia Jones, Finance & Administration facilitates the stewardship of the financial, information technology and strategic planning initiatives entrusted to Facilities Management Division. We provide the financial information necessary for planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance measurement for the division and the campus community. The unit consists of five main areas:

  • Budget Management and Financial Planning - - is responsible for budgeting, multi-year financial planning, forecasting, rate setting, and analysis for FMD’s base and fee-for-service operations.
  • Accounting - accounting, financial analysis, payments and reporting for operating, minor capital projects and major capital projects.
  • Utilities Business Operation- is responsible for utilities supply management, accounting, budgeting, multi-year financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for the utilities operations and infrastructure. With our daily population we become the 5th largest community in Saskatchewan. The utilities usage is similar to that of the City of North Battleford. We produce enough steam heat in a year to melt 160 acres of ice 4 metres deep and we produce enough air conditioning to make a block of ice 215 feet on each side.
  • Information Technology (IT)- provides computer hardware/ software expertise for the Division and works as a liaison with the various other computing departments at the University. IT also supports, maintains, develops and upgrades the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for FMD and serves as a liaison with FSD (Financial Services Division), ITS (Information Technology Services) and the general campus community.
  • Strategic Planning and Performance Reporting - leads the implementation of FMD's integrated plan and performance reporting framework.
